How to Use Affirmations to Manifest Your Desire
Another technique to impress your desire upon your Subconscious Mind is using POSITIVE SELF-TALK or AFFIRMATIONS
The important role affirmations play is to COUNTER your FLBs with new beliefs that help bring out the positive aspects of yourself and your life.
Affirmations, when done properly, create a powerful high frequency that harmonizes with the high, creative frequency UNCONDITIONAL LOVE emitted by the Universal Mind.
What are Affirmations and How They Work
Affirmations are merely suggestions or messages that you read or listen to. These affirmations are the OPPOSITE of your FLBs. The reason for this is that they intend to replace the FLBs stored in your Subconscious Mind.
Your FLBs are the result of years of constant and impactful negative experiences. One of the most effective ways to relinquish these beliefs is to embed positive statements through REPEATED reading, reciting, or listening to affirmations.
As you focus on the positive and empowering words about yourself and your life, your Conscious Mind will send these words to be recorded by your Subconscious Mind.
As your subconscious recognizes these affirmations as NEW TRUTHS, it throws out the old burdensome FLBs. Therefore, no matter how old your FLBs may be, you can always overcome them and have a new positive set of truths that will help you create the best kind of life you desire.
As you free your mind of the burdens of FLBs, you respond with positive feelings, not only of relief, but also of joy, happiness, love, excitement, and empowerment.
When you have this kind of self-sufficiency, you become better at creating and manifesting all that you want.
Lies Vs. Truths
You may have read from other sources that affirmations don’t work. This is mainly because your Conscious Mind is busy thinking of these affirmations as lies. After all, they do not reflect the reality you have.
There are times when affirmations make things worse especially when the person is going through some tough times. To them, the more they write or recite affirmations, the more they develop negative feelings about themselves.
It is important to understand that FLBs are also BASED ON LIES that you acquired from the beliefs of others.
You may have been led to believe that you are powerless over your situation, that you are too weak, too cluttered in your thinking, or too reckless to achieve anything.
This description of yourself gets repeated so often that you start to see it as your truth. You’re too poor to afford anything or don’t have the proper education to get your dream job.
So, you feel guilty about buying anything expensive and you also tend to apply for jobs that don’t pay much.
The thing is this idea of who you are started as nothing more than a statement that was completely neutral and completely changeable.
In other words, the statement was nothing more than just a “lie” that you could have chosen not to believe.
The truth is you can improve your current financial status, be smart and talented enough to land your dream job, and be the most desirable and magnetic person anyone has ever met.
With just a flick of a switch, you could have chosen to discard the negative and make room for the positive. Yet, many people continue to cling to their FLBs like lifelines.
Affirmations will help you eliminate the lies of your FLBs and build a solid foundation for positive and empowering truths.
Using affirmations as your subconscious reprogramming technique requires patience and consistency.
Just as you need to plan, draft, and create a building piece by piece, you have to be gradual and progressive in manifesting your new reality. Focus on the process of planning, drafting, and building it piece by piece.
When doing affirmations for the first time, I highly recommend that you remove anything that reflects the reality that you do not want.
If you want to manifest your dream job, don’t focus on being jobless. If you want to manifest your dream trip, do not focus on not being able to afford the flights and hotel accommodations. If you want to manifest your perfect partner, do not focus on feeling inadequate or undesirable.
The most crucial part of using affirmations is to understand the meaning behind each affirmation.
When the affirmation says, “I can afford anything that I want,” reflect on the true meaning of this statement and imagine yourself being able to afford absolutely anything that you desire!
Imagine spending money on what you love without looking at the price tags. Imagine what it’s like to have enough money to buy your dream house, your dream car, and a trip around the world! Imagine and feel it as real as possible.
Focus on the Meaning of the Affirmations
When you use affirmations to introduce new beliefs in your system and yet choose to focus on your current reality that you don’t want, you will not see positive changes in your life because your negative feelings about your current reality immediately counter the positive feelings that affirmations bring.
So, prepare to be as SOLITARY with your affirmations as much as possible. You don’t need the outside world to affirm any of the statements. All you need is to UNDERSTAND THE MEANING of these affirmations and feel as if they are happening right now!
To write your affirmations, they should be the direct opposite of YOUR existing FLBs so that they can be counteracted.
For 30 days, you must read your list of positive affirmations while in a sleepy state which is as soon as you wake up in the morning, before you get up from bed, and before you go to sleep at night.
Your Conscious Mind is NOT “fully awake” when you’re in a sleepy state, so your subconscious is entirely open to absorb the suggestions in the affirmations.
You can also make copies of your affirmations list and pin them on your desk or a small private message board. This way, you can read your affirmations at any time.
You can also make an audio recording of your affirmations. Make sure that you listen to your recording at the same times mentioned above.
How To Use Positive Affirmations
Ideally, you yourself should make your own positive affirmations, although there are a lot of good examples that you can get from the Internet. This is because the affirmations should be the direct opposite of your existing FLBs so that they can be counteracted.
Prior to listing down your affirmations, it is important that you do a thorough examination of yourself. You need to determine what FLBs you have and where and when they came from. It may be an uncomfortable process that may bring out a lot of bad memories. But if you want to rid yourself of these FLBs, you need to determine their origins.
Some of the questions that you need to ask yourself include the following:
- When did I first believe that _______ is true? Who gave me this idea? Was it my parents, a relative, a friend, etc.?
- How did I react at that time? What emotions did I feel?
- Do these thoughts/ideas/memories still affect me at the present time? How do they affect me?
- How do I see myself as a result of these thoughts?
- Do I like the way I am right now?
- Am I worthy to change and experience happiness in my life?
- Is it within me to forgive those who have hurt me in the past?
As you ask yourself these questions, take a sheet of paper and fold it into two columns. In the left column, list all of your FLBs. You can also mention the emotions these FLBs made you feel.
Once you are done, list in the right column the positive affirmations and the good emotions that come with them. One recommendation I have is to start your list of positive affirmations with messages and suggestions that will put you on track to achieving your desire.
Let me give you some examples…
- “I give up easily because I’m afraid.” = “I am ready to change my life for the better and I am raring to forge ahead.”
- “I’m not expecting that things will change for me.” = “I am confident that I will bring about a positive transformation.”
- “People don’t like me so I’m not worthy.” = “I am proud of who I am and I will show everyone what I’m capable of.”
- “Change takes too much effort.” = “Each new day energizes me so that I can achieve my goals.”
- “I can’t forgive those who have hurt me.” = “I am capable of heartfelt forgiveness and understanding.”
Once you have completed your list, tear off the left column with the FLBs and throw it away or burn it. While this is a symbolic gesture, it sends a strong message to your Subconscious Mind that you are rejecting these FLBs and are ready to replace them with the positive affirmations.
For 30 days, you must read your list of positive affirmations while in a sleepy state as soon as you wake up in the morning (before you get up from bed) and before you go to sleep at night.
Your Conscious Mind is not “fully awake” when you’re in a sleepy state so that your subconscious is completely open to the positive affirmations.

You can also make an audio recording of your positive affirmations. Make sure that you listen to your recording at the same times mentioned above.
It is not enough that you read or listen to these positive affirmations. Focus on how these affirmations make you feel.
Given our earlier examples, concentrate on feelings of courage, pride, confidence, forgiveness, and gratitude.
Let positive affirmations eliminate the limits and negativity that have been imposed upon you by the heavy burden of FLBs.
