The Best Mind State to Create Your Desire
Conscious Creation works best when your brain waves are in Alpha: the brain waves that bring you to “sleepy state” and makes you feel fully relaxed.
An “alpha state of mind” is what scientists associate with “right brain” activity, or our subjective senses of imagination, creativity, memory, and intuition.
When you are actively awake, you are typically in a state of mind known as Beta, with brain wave activity between 14 and 30 HZ.
When your brain wave activity slows down to between 7 and 14 HZ, you are said to be in an alpha state. It is considered a “relaxed” state of mind that allows you to be more receptive, open, creative and less critical. Edison, Einstein and many other brilliant thinkers, considered a daily ritual of accessing an alpha state of mind, essential to their work.
We access this state quite naturally during sleep, when day-dreaming, or more consciously, with meditation and self-hypnosis. In fact, many times throughout the day, your brain will dip into an alpha state, even awake with eyes open.
When you are in Alpha state, your brainwaves have actually slowed down, which makes the visual performance of your brain stronger than when you are fully awake or conscious.
When you are in Alpha or sleepy state, your Conscious Mind is weaker and unable to filter or block the visual images that you see in your mind’s eye. It is also unable to block or filter new suggestions and affirmations. Your Subconscious Mind, however, is fully active 24/7 and is open to suggestions. Without the Conscious Mind as the “gatekeeper” of the subconscious, you can effectively reprogram or replace your subconscious beliefs and manifest them in your reality.
How to Go Into Alpha State
It is highly advisable that before you start your meditation, you need to bring your mind into Alpha state. To shift from the normal state of consciousness to Alpha, close your eyes, relax your body, and take deep breaths in a rhythmic pattern.
When you breathe, slowly inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Try to be consistent with this rhythm. The length and size of breath that comes in must be the same as the breath that goes out.
Breathe through your diaphragm by relaxing your stomach, then pull it back in, very slowly, to the point where it seems as if your stomach is touching your spine.
Repeat this. It will be awkward at first, which is normal. Keep doing it, and the awkwardness will fade. The goal is to strip away all of the strain. Focus on your breathing. Try to think of nothing while doing this. Stay present and empty your mind.
When you have mind chatter while doing the rhythmic breathing, it will be harder to focus and will take time for the awkwardness to go away. Practice this kind of breathing every day, and with commitment and concentration, you will master this skill.
The more you practice, the more you become better at getting yourself into Alpha. As you get better and better at this, try to stay in Alpha state by adding extra seconds to your exercise every time.
When you have reached and stayed in Alpha for 5 minutes consistently before you start your Conscious Creation process, whatever mental image you decide to play in your mind’s eye will ride with the beneficial Alpha waves, will be effective and intense, and will manifest very easily.
Activity for Day 28
Train Yourself To Get Into Alpha State
Sit comfortably or lie down, closing your eyes. Perform a number of deep breaths.
Visualize the number 3 and say to yourself “Three” 3 times.
Visualize the number 2 and say to yourself “Two” 3 times.
Visualize the number 1 and say to yourself “One” 3 times.
Visualize the number 10 and say “I’m relaxing”
Visualize the number 9 and say “I’m calming down”
Visualize the number 8 and say “I’m relaxing more and more”
Visualize the number 7 and say “I’m calming down more and more”
Visualize the number 6 and say “My consciousness is clear and tranquil”
Visualize the number 5 and say “My whole body is relaxed”
Visualize the number 4 and say “I’m so relaxed that I can’t feel the weight of my body”
Visualize the number 3 and say “I’m totally calm”
Visualize the number 2 and say “I’m totally relaxed”
Visualize the number 1 and say “I’m totally calm and totally relaxed. I’m at alpha.”
In addition to today’s exercise, you should also listen to your subliminal for at least twice a day, as well as to any of the guided visualizations I mentioned in the previous lessons.
