Use Your Five Senses
It doesn’t have to be just your eyes that will do all the work. Most people think of visualization as merely “seeing” but to recreate something in your mind is more than just about how something looks on the surface. To create the scenario so that it feels real, invest all your five senses when you visualize a moment or an object.
You can do this with a fruit (like a watermelon for example). Feel it, smell it, knock on it, slice it open, and taste it. As you examine the fruit using as many of your senses as possible, commit every impression to your memory.
How does the fruit look from its wholeness down to when you divided it into pieces? How about its texture and color?
What did it sound like when you sliced it open? Did it give off a distinctive crack or was easily opened?
How does the fruit smell? Does it give off a strong or subtle scent? Is it sweet or citrusy?
How about the taste? Is tangy or tart? You can even feel it with your tongue. Does it have a rough, seedy texture? Or is it soft as mush?
Once you’ve memorized these details, you can proceed to recreate it in your mind from the look to sound to smell to taste to feel.
You can also do this exercise with events. When at a particularly special occasion, heighten your awareness and observational skills. Really look at the people, find a dominant smell that you can associate with the event (example: grilled steak, morning dew, musty wood), feel something that would link you back to this occasion (example: silk sheets, comfy seat, chilled glass), hear the chatter or the silence, and taste the event whether it be food or just how the “taste” of a warm breeze would be like.
Once you accomplished memorizing an event using your five senses, recreate this in your mind.
Beyond Your Room
The important part in visualization is to set aside enough time everyday to work on it. You can do it at least three times a day for 15 minutes, however, there’s no strict schedule to follow and you’re free to choose whatever time slot works for you; but, ideally, thrice a day helps hone your mental concentration skill.
For beginners, you can use the first five minutes of visualization for practice.
Imagine an object or even a pet that you can easily recreate in your mind. You can opt for any of the three exercises that I mentioned earlier. Eventually, you’ll find that when doing your visualization, you usually integrate some aspects of all three exercises. After five minutes is up, spend the next 10 minutes visualizing your desired reality with your loved one.
Over time, you’ll even realize that 15 minutes may not be enough to completely immerse yourself in your visualization. You can adjust your time frame as you get better. Just remember to always be the “main protagonist” of your imaginal act. Don’t take the third person’s point of view when visualizing.
The great thing about visualization is that it’s not a technique that’s limited to your private visualization or meditation area. You can bring it outside of your room or anywhere with you and use it anytime for as long as you like!
Once you’ve mastered the art of “being”, you can start visualizing in your “waking life”.
As you travel to and from home to anywhere else, you can visualize all the cars to be red or every person to wear the same shirt. You can even imagine your loved one sitting right beside you as you have lunch with friends or working on your laptop.
Of course, you don’t need to yap around to everybody about your loved one sitting right beside you. You only need to believe in the visualization yourself. Remember the previous lesson on keeping the whole process to yourself? Keep this in mind as you start to reshape the physical world around you.
What Does It Look Like
Going back to our earlier discussion, part of why you should want your loved one back is you see something ideal or happy in your future togetherness. When you meditate on you and your partner, it should be on the “end result” of being together.
See your desire in its completed state already. To manifest your loved one back, what does “reuniting with them” look like? Do you see yourself living and planning your future together? Do you see yourself married to each other? Do you see them telling you that they want to be with you? Do you see them emotionally ready to be with you?
Mentally live with your loved one in the same house, cook breakfasts and dinners with them, make travel plans with them, walk with them around beautiful parks and along the beach, have lazy afternoons with them, drink tea or coffee with them, laugh with them, watch movies with them.
Know every detail of your desire. What does your desire look like from afar? What does it look like up close? What does it smell like? What does it taste like? What does it feel like? What does it sound like?
Familiarize yourself with every aspect of your desire, know every detail by heart, know everything about it.
The more specific you are about your relationship with your loved one and how you feel when you’re with them, the more specific your manifestation will be.
Visualize your desired reality with your loved one as often as you can. You can do it in a private area or even see them with you in your Physical Reality. Bring and apply this skill wherever you go and in whatever you do. Constantly see your loved one enjoy happy moments with you. The beauty of visualization is that it is limitless.

Visualize a Romantic Stroll with Your Loved One
This is a feel-good guided visualization about taking a beautiful and romantic stroll with your loved one.
You can use this visualization in your daily conscious creation practice. Use every morning, right after you wake up and before you go to bed at night. You can also visualize at any time of the day. Remember to “act and feel as if” the scenarios were happening right now.
In addition to today’s exercise, you should also listen to your subliminal for at least twice a day, as well as to any of the guided visualizations I mentioned in the previous lessons.
