Each person will receive a several challenges in their lives to strengthen themselves and find solutions to their problems. The Law of Relativity teaches us to compare what happens to us with what happens to others to gain better perspective on life.
This means that when we think we are in a challenging situation, someone somewhere is in a worse situation than us. Everything is relative.
Everything is mutual until we relate it to something else
The spiritual and metaphysical aspects of Law of Relativity tells us that everything in our physical world is only made real by its relationship or comparison to something. Light exists because we compare it to darkness. Sadness exists because we compare it to happiness. Hot exists because we compare it to cold.
In fact, everything in our life is neutral and just as is until we compare it to something.
In short, nothing in life has any meaning, except for the meaning and labels that we give it. It is all in how you look at your situation and experiences and what thoughts, labels, and perspective you choose to accompany your situation and experiences with.
Focus on the good and positive
When you focus on good thoughts and energies, more good things will come to you. Likewise, if you focus on how negative your situation is, you will attract more negative.
You can always compare your life situation to someones else, and it will look better or worse depending on your viewpoint and how you look at it.
If you compare your situation to someone’s situation that is worse, yours will look better. No matter what the situation is at hand, there is always someone worse off and someone better off than you.
However, from a spiritual point of view, we can remove barriers of labeling and accept everything ‘as is’. If we cease to put negative labels to a neutral thing, we will not have negative feelings about it.
Eckhart Tolle said, “In form, you are and will always be inferior to some, superior to others. In essence, you are neither inferior nor superior to anyone. True self-esteem and true humility arise out of that realization. In the eyes of the ego, self-esteem and humility are contradictory. In truth, they are one and the same.”
